As part of international cultural cooperation between Russia and the Kingdom of Bahrain, with the unanimous support of Their Excellencies the Director of the Culture and Antiquities Authority and the Ambassador of Bahrain, the audience at the closing ceremony of the festival heard the music of composer Waheed Alkhan performed by the composer himself, a group of Bahraini musicians, and the Sochi Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alexey Aslanov for the first time.

Maestro Alkhan presented a series of his symphonic compositions at the concert, which are featured on his recent album "Return to Life." This album reflects his desire to find an intermediate language between Western classical music with its complex symphonic texture, percussion, and colorful rhythmic forms typical of Eastern music in general, and Bahrain in particular, where the listener roams the boundless spaces.
